Sunset at 4:45 pm! Oh dear!

Gosh, now that the sun is setting so early it's time to rethink dog walking at night.  I just found the perfect solution at SplendidPaws.com (which happens to be a local Manhattan Beach business that is owned and operated by a friend & client of mine).   The Pup - Light LED Collar looks fantastic & I've just placed my order!  I found a review of the product & thought I'd share:

I have ordered and tried to use dog lights, lighted collars and all sorts of contraptions for my husky so I can keep track of him at night.  This collar ROCKS! I have two now in case I lose one. It is the only really bright collar.  It means I don't even have to use a flashlight if I don't want to. Yes, it's that bright.  Batteries last a long time and my dog even swims with it on and it has stayed as perfect as when I bought it.  I love this collar and would highly recommend it to anyone who needs to be able to see their dog at night." 

Manhattan Beach Holiday Fireworks

The Manhattan Beach fireworks are Sunday, December 14th at 6:30pm.  If you plan on being away from home this particular Sunday evening and your dog is scared of the loud firework noises, you may want to set your four legged furry friend up in a room with the TV on! The TV noise will help to drown out loud booms and crackles (remember to turn the volume up loud). Or if your pooch is highly sensitive to fireworks you may even want to make an appointment with your vet for some anti-anxiety medication.  (Can you even believe such doggie drugs exist?!)

This is my favorite picture from last year's fireworks.  We were on the beach near the MB pier. I hope you can see them, this is such an amazing event!
